In 2016, the Charleston Transplant Home 5k helped to raise over $5,000. Our sponsors played a huge part in making the event a success and in bringing us closer to our goals. In 2017, we are using those funds to help offset the cost of hotel stays for transplant patients as we move towards the larger dream to build a permanent, 10-bedroom home for Charleston transplant patients in recovery. This year's sponsors will continue to play an integral role in our organization's ability to help serve the Charleston transplant community. We have returning sponsors and some great new sponsors and we will add them here as they join us. We want to give a big thanks for all of their support! Join us Saturday, May 6 at the Wando Shelter at James Island County Park for our 5k and One Mile Fun Run. This is our 2nd annual 5k, but this year we're changing it up! We're still fundraising and providing awareness of Charleston's need for a Transplant Home, but this year there are prizes. Charlestowne Road Race Services will be providing timing and we will be awarding a $200 prize to the top male and top female finishers. Smaller prizes will be provided for winners in men's and women's age categories. We'll also be having a smaller 1 mile fun run so bring the kids and dogs and join us in helping realize the dream to provide recovering transplant patients in Charleston with a 'home away from home'.
